Nicole L. Goetz Receives Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® Rating For Eighth Consecutive Year

Nicole L. Goetz has received a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rating in 2019, a designation she has earned each year since 2012. AV Preeminent® is the highest peer rating standard and signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards. Goetz represents Southwest Florida clients in marital and family law cases focusing on complex and high-net-worth divorces and appeals.

Martindale-Hubbell® is the facilitator of the peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ fall into two categories:  legal ability and general ethical standards. Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings allow attorneys to complete anonymous peer reviews where they rate fellow lawyers on a 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) scale in five categories: legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability and legal experience. Attorneys also answer whether or not they believe the lawyer they are reviewing has very high ethical standards.

“It is an honor to have been recognized by my peers,” Goetz said. “I am committed to knowing my chosen practice area and practicing law with the utmost ethics and professionalism.”

Nicole L. Goetz P.L. represents clients in all phases of their cases — including settlement, litigation and appeal — and provides advice and assistance to other attorneys on complex legal issues and appellate matters. The firm’s attorneys actively pursue creative resolutions that allow their clients to have greater control of the outcomes, keep their costs down and move forward more quickly with their futures. The attorneys of Nicole L. Goetz P.A. encourage clients to allow them to seek non-litigation alternatives such as mediation, negotiated settlements and participation in the collaborative law process, to attempt faster and more private resolutions of difficult family issues. The firm is equally committed to litigating matters to conclusion if settlement proves impossible.

Goetz is the author of Divorce Proceedings in Florida: What You Need to Know (Quick Prep), which provides a comprehensive overview of the divorce process in Florida from the unique perspective of an attorney who has been involved with virtually every aspect of a divorce proceeding.

In addition to her AV Preeminent® peer-review rating by Martindale-Hubbell, Florida Trend Magazine included her on the lists of “Florida’s Legal Elite” in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Florida Super Lawyers named her among its lists of “Rising Stars” in 2010 and 2011. She is a member in good standing of the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar and the Lee and Collier County bar associations. Goetz is an active member of The Florida Bar Family Law Section and served as 2017-18 Section Chair. She has been honored many times for her volunteer service to the section, a 3,900-member statewide organization that advocates on behalf of Florida’s families and children.

Nicole Goetz is a former staff attorney at Brevard County Legal Aid in Brevard County and for Florida’s Twentieth Judicial Circuit. Prior to establishing Nicole L. Goetz P.L. in 2010, she was a managing shareholder at Asbell & Ho P.A., where she focused on the litigation and appeal of complex family law issues.
